TINTED EMOTIONAL “GLASSES”
In African Tradition, the “Eye” is ones ability to visualize what one Wills to achieve. “Eyes” in Natural (pre-birth) Emotions (Group I) are irrational/illogical since they precede ones Congenital Tarda Reasoning appearance abilities between ages 5 to 12. Natural Emotions’ “Eye” is the receptacle for and seat of a human’s Passions, Appetites, and Inclinations. It also serves as a common thoroughfare to allow ones Affections, Unconditional Love, anger, Spiritual pride, fear and other instinct Emotions to pass in and out. Starting at birth, this “Eye” is as bold as a lion—being the power urging little children’s roving, running, skipping, leaping here and there, far and wide and near. It speaks its own language–waits for no introduction–respects neither poverty or riches, neither learning nor power, neither virtue nor gender. Yet, not long after birth, drastic things happen when the toddler’s “Eye” starts gazing on and/or experiencing “bad stuff” (e.g. psychological or physical abuse, crushing disappointments, neglect) of an anti-Spiritual Elements nature. Their pre-birth gifts did not prepare them to handle “stuff” at such a tender age. As a result, Emotional and Spiritual pains start fogging up ones “Eye” and generating confusion in the process. The child begins losing a sense of Selfhood Greatness. Also by being in a shaken up ‘snow globe-like’ chaotic state, beliefs form that “Good” is not always present in life. Whatever is deemed to be anti-Good is a primer for “glob” perceptions that include the real, distortions, and fantasies—a “glob” allowing ones Imagination to ‘run wild’ in creating ‘weird’ emotions. All of this causes life to seem to be what one really, really does not want—a life “against me”—a life demanding “do something”–like putting on tainted glasses for seeing life, the color of which conforms to the child’s pervading temperament.
Some put on “rose-colored glasses” so as to see things as they wish them to be. Some put on glasses with a tint that causes them to be attached to those who embellish their “Emotional Junk.” Some choose tints that prevent them from seeing the obvious and thus have to be led by those who seem to know where they are going (perhaps the ignorant and/or the evil). Whatever type of “Escape” glasses they put on, all demand being self-absorbed inside an Omnibus Brain state– concerned only with the “here and now”–from a totally self-centered perspective—with the theme of “I Don’t Care about anything but Me”. Thus, everything these now Emotional People (EPs) seek, are attracted to, and clutch is within the context of recapturing their lost sense of the “5Ss” (safety, security, sureness/self-confidence, strength, and stability). Their life’s dedication is to standards, filters, guides, and measures assessed through their customized tinted glasses of: “Is it For me or is it Against me.” Those glasses color everything one takes into ones inner world as well as color everything that goes on inside, around, and flowing out of ones inner world. Almost everyone has experiences with how ‘musical glasses’ shape ones mood—the chosen taint of the music symbolizes the emotional nature of ones mindset during rises, ripenesses, and declines. In short, Tainted glasses are “Clutched Accourtrements” (False Self supports) to emotionally distort assessing people and things in daily life.
Some dislike “different” people, as happens in stereotyping and racism. A Humanity and Critical Thinking “killer triad” is seen in EPs who self-declare they are “Instant Psychologists“. They (1) display “broad stroke” assumptions by immediately “Scrutinizing” a person/thing/message–(2) from a glance—and then (3) stupidly jumping to conclusions. They wrongly believe that “glance” of the character behind ones face or appearance of a thing (e.g. a tough problem) tells them every important thing. Based on these emotional misinterpretations, judgments are made that a solution, candidate, or approach will/will not work. Worse yet is taking action on tinted “guesses.” Delusions come from tinted begrudging emotions, an inability to do Rational Thinking, and from bad habits of allowing ones attention to be hi-jacked from the fire of “ought to do Necessities” by Attractive Distractions. Such happens in aiming only for the “gist” of what is of Life-Shaping or Life-Changing decision importance. Repeated bad results confirm to EPs their inability to think and thus, through tinted glasses, they impulsively resort to guessing. Only by shedding “Clutched Accourtrements” can one see the reality of what is/is not Necessary and Important. jabaileymd.com
