“FEELINGS” FORK OF EMOTIONS

               “FEELINGS” FORK OF EMOTIONS
The “big picture” of the subject of Feelings and Emotions can be analogized to a “Fork.” On the Fork’s stem end, Ancient Africans said that out of the Heavens came the actuality of God’s Messages in the form of Instincts. But “the Heavens” is also a metaphor for humans’ Souls and Instincts are known in humans as “Feelings” (to vibrate). This story began with Early Africans’ great fascination with what motivated humans and animals to move around. In formulating a tale about this, African Groits (storytellers) said that by early Africans believing the source of the sacred Nile River came from heaven among the stars–implied the River moved by God’s Spirit, consisting of vibratory messages flowing from God’s Mind–a flow throughout the Cosmic Organism which communicates with all real things. An aside, said the Groits, for those desiring to separate Instincts and Feeling, then Instincts could be thought of as the channel in which the Nile River ran–and Feelings as the Triad consisting of God’s messages + the Vehicle for those messages + the “payload” carried in the messages. An analogy for this is in the way a coin has two sides connected by an interwoven “edge” of both. This Triad was conveyed by God’s “Spirit” in a flowing state of profound Peace–called Hetep–a Spirit force explaining the Nile River’s calmness (ones inner Self). In other words, Instincts (from God) are received as Feelings in humans and their contents are the same—both in the form of vibrations powered by God’s “moving force”—and not in words.
On the other end of the “Fork” are its Prongs–corresponding to human Receivers. The middle two prongs represent “Feelings,” but under the term Natural Emotions so as to distinguish them from the outside prongs representing Natural (God-made) and Supernatural (human-made) Emotions. Prong 2 is a human’s Highest Self Feelings and Prong 3 is a human’s Lower (animalistic) Self Feelings. When earthquakes caused tidal wave turbulence in the Nile River, those waters rumbled on into caverns. Caverns are subterranean caves or sets of caves–indefinite in extent—and formed in limestone by running water. Certain mouths of a cavern, which open onto relatively level ground and without altering the Nile River’s flow, symbolize the middle two prongs–out of which came the Natural Emotions. From prong 2, flowed the part of the River pertaining to ones Highest Self–indicating the Spiritual aspect of humans. Out of prong 3, flowed the part of the River pertaining to ones Lower Self (which humans share with other animals)–to indicate the Material aspect of humans in the form of their “Animalistic” connection with the Animal Kingdom.
However, those parts of the Nile River which impacted on the walls of the caverns experienced an eddy (again, back) effect–like that of a whirlpool or water that flows back in waves. An “Eddy” is a whirling similar to what happens to the waters inside a washing machine. Once inside, the collision of the “Feeling” waters with the cavern walls caused an eddying of the water. That eddying stirred up the vibrations within the “Feeling” Nile River waters (Instincts). Two whirlpool motions then occurred which, for ease of discussion, I use the ideas of a clockwise and counter-clockwise motion. The clockwise eddy of Feelings refers to Constructive or Good Emotions, capable of blending with the Spiritual realms. The counter-clockwise eddy of Feelings–by the limestone implanting problematic spirits in its waters and who became agitated from the eddy–fashion a wide span of Emotions. They range from Disharmonious Emotions all the way over to Destructive (Evil) Emotions. In short, Supernatural Emotions consist of the now agitated spirits in those waters moving out of the caverns in an unrealistic manner and possessing varying self-defeating natures.
By simply entering and being inside the caverns (mind) converted the Nile River’s Feelings into Emotions. The notion of a “spirit moving force” of any type was the Groits’ way of metaphorically speaking of the activities and processes of the mind, body, and soul and thereby serving as a means to understand and put ones life in order. Their metaphorical language used words to paint a mental picture conveying “That it is” (Primary Qualities) Principles actually within the person touched by them. Apart from that, these “spirit moving forces” became the explanation sources for the originally shared etymology of Emotion, Motivation, Animal, and Animation. jabaileymd.com
